How to Plan Your Bodybuilding Diet

A bodybuilding diet is critically important for muscle gain. What you eat after an exercise workout and how often to eat is of high priority for serious bodybuilders. Only when you watch calories carefully can you make sure that muscle gain doesn’t pile on with fat gain.

One of the most important elements of your bodybuilding diet is:

Drink plenty of water

Both during and after your exercise workouts, drink plenty of water. This helps avoid dehydration. You’ll need at least 2 liters of water every day. Make sure that you consume this amount regardless of anything else.

Avoid sugary soft drinks and alcohol because they’ll pile up extra calories that will add to fat stores. In addition, the concentrated solutions will increase urine output and worsen dehydration. Your body’s immunity and defence against infections is also affected by soda and sugar drinks. So stick with water alone and you’ll be fine.
